Phat Boy Running


Phat Boy Running… Yep that would be me! Welcome to my world, this is where I talk about everything from family, being a paramedic, life in general and my continuing struggles with food addiction, diet, running and fitness.


A few years ago I was morbidly obese and becoming unable to function, now I am a Runner. If you saw me on the street you might not ever guess. I don’t have the gazelle like body of my original running buddy Sara nor do I have the long graceful stride of my friends Joie and Becky, not the slender physic of Kevin who used to scream at me not to stop after 50 or 100 yards and not the shorter, powerful stance of Jay or James II. Then there is Jackie… the slender all skinny legs and arms marathoner of my friends…. Nowhere close to her! No I am short, chubby and older but…
